As part of our support, New Start offers a furniture and electrical provision service to the Highland area.

If you are taking up a new tenancy, speak to your housing allocation officer (Highland Council, Albyn and Cairn etc) and they may put in a referral on your behalf. You may be eligible for all items, including large household appliances such as washing machines and cookers, (dependent on current stock) although these are limited in numbers and may not always be available.

You may also be referred for non essential items (such as wooden furniture, fabrics) by other support agencies, charitable organisations, or recognised members of our community (such as CAB, Social Work, health visitors, NHS, home carers, housing support or church ministers).
